Waiting List for Color-Matching Gelcoat
During a repair, how do you match the gelcoat color with the color on the hull? You can try to order the original color through the boat’s manufacturer. If they direct you to a retailer who has the gelcoat in stock, how can you be sure it will match the color on a hull that’s been sitting out in various environmental conditions? If you can’t find the original manufacturer’s color, can you recreate it in the field?
